R.O.I. Economic Consulting produces estimates of metropolitan area consumption for five building materials

A hydraulic cement produced by finely grinding clinker, which consists mainly of calcium silicates, and usually one or more forms of calcium sulfate as an interground additive. Clinker is the fused product of a kiln.

Aggregate

A granular material made of sand, gravel, or crushed stone. Aggregate is used in construction for the making of portland cement and asphalt concrete, mortar, grout, and roofing shingles. It is also used as a base course for pavement and grade slabs, as well as in agriculture, drainage systems, roof ballast, and landscaping.  Aggregate is classified by size and gradation.
